Hatha Yoga for All- Moving with Mindfulness

This class recognizes that we all come to class with different backgrounds, experience, and bodies. We start each class by taking time to connect with breath, allowing our bodies and minds to settle into the present moment. When we truly connect with ourselves, we are able to mindfully move through the asanas(poses) honoring where we are. Asanas are presented with focus on foundational alignment and safe movement and with numerous variations that support your practice. The use of tools such as chairs, walls, blocks, and straps are encouraged. Whether you are new to yoga, or an experienced yogi looking to advance and deepen your practice, you will be given the opportunity to challenge and grow.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is the other half of modern Western Yoga practice. Traditional Hatha and Vinyasa classes are focused on the muscular or "yang" tissues of the body. Yin Yoga allows us to work on the "yin" tissues of our ligaments, joints, bones, and deep fascial layers. Yin Yoga classes are slower paced with fewer poses, almost all of which are floor based. You will hold each pose for a longer period of time, anywhere from 2 to 8 minutes. The use of tools such as bolsters, blocks, blankets, straps and even the wall will be part of the practice. These tools will allow you to come into a pose where you are comfortable and settle in as you rest there. Breath and stillness are important parts of Yin and you will be guided to use your breath to help you release and find stillness and comfort in each pose.

Deeply Restorative Yoga with Energetic Healing

Paula Boughton will be joining me to bring you this Deeply Restorative Yoga session that will be enhanced with the energetic healing of Reiki and Integrated Energy Therapy. Reiki is often used to remove blockages and improve the balance of energy within you. IET is used to release limiting energy patterns to promote healing in your body, mind and spirit. You will be offered the option of a hands-on or a touch free session. Paula holds advanced certifications in both Reiki and IET.

In this class you will slowly transition through 4 restorative yoga poses, supported and surrounded by blankets and bolsters in a way that allows you to rest comfortably with no stretching or discomfort. Each pose will be held for approximately 20 minutes. Paula will move from student to student as we change poses so that each student will receive a 15–20-minute session of either Reiki or IET during the course of the session. This class will be limited to 4 participants.

Kids Yoga

I have received certification in Kids Yoga through Kidding Around Yoga. The kid's classes I offer are based on this curriculum. A typical children's yoga class will involve singing, dancing, movement and games as appropriate to the age group. Asanas (poses) are woven into these activities as are elements of breathwork and meditation. Private and semi-private kid's classes are available for your family or group. Please inquire for availability and pricing for private and semi-private classes.

Foundations for Yoga

Join me on this journey into the world of Yoga. We will cover basic yoga asana (poses), emphasizing principles of alignment to allow you to safely begin or reignite your practice. This series will also include breathwork and grounding practices designed to help you connect your mind and body. This series is designed for those just starting out, those with physical concerns, or more seasoned practitioners who want to re-visit the basics. Many options for practice will be presented making this a class for everyone.

***Please note- A Beginner Yoga Series is not the same as gentle yoga. A Beginner Yoga Series is designed to teach you the basics of yoga, including modifications, that will allow you to feel comfortable and competent to join a regular yoga class of your choice in the future. We may present and work through more challenging poses. As always, we ask you to meet the pose wherever you are comfortable.

Cost is $50 for the series, payable upon registration or at first session. This series is limited to 10 participants per class

Slow Mindful Yoga

Slow Mindful yoga with Kate from Every Body's Yoga studio, is a gentle approach, inviting you to take your time and explore where you need to be- physical, mindfully, and spiritually.

This practice takes you to a place deep inside that will welcome your body and breath inwardly, allowing your spirit to soar as you move mindfully from one pose to the next. Where a mindful pause is just as important as the pose.

Chair Yoga

What Is Chair Yoga?

Chair yoga, a gentle form of yoga that’s done while seated or using a chair for balance, making the practice more accessible. In chair yoga, it’s possible to move into poses like cat/cow, warrior, sun salutations and forward folds, all while seated. Like traditional yoga, chair yoga ensures proper alignment needed to establish comfort and safety during your practice. Whether you have a physical limitation, or looking for a practice where you can boost your confidence and feel balanced while in a particular pose, the use of a chair helps in so many ways.

Chair yoga is for anyone.

Join Tanya for this Hatha Yoga class that brings in some Vinyasa Flow, core work and advanced asana practice for inversions and arm balances. This class will focus on connecting breath and movement while improving overall conditioning. Tanya looks forward to helping you increase your strength, flexibility and confidence as she encourages you to learn new or different poses.

Pilates with Lauren

Join Laruen for this 45-minute mat Pilates class! You can expect a gentle warm up to get your blood flowing and muscles ready to work. Our workout will consist of exercises designed to lengthen and strengthen our muscles with a focus on core stability. Class will then close out with a few deep stretches. Modifications will be offered throughout class so that everyone feels comfortable working out at their own pace. Beginners are welcome.

My goal as instructor is always to leave you feeling challenged without feeling defeated.

Barre Fitness with Lauren

A 45-minute workout using a chair for balance as our "barre". Clients stand barefoot on a yoga mat for this program. Class is made up of standing leg work, light upper body resistance, and floor core exercise. We will close each class with deep stretching. The goals of Barre are to tone muscles and gain flexibility.
